Another anti-Iranian figure leaves the Trump administration.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the Israeli Channel 14 TV announced that Morgan Ortagus, the US deputy envoy for the Middle East and responsible for the Lebanon file, will soon step down from her position.
The Israeli media outlet stated that this is not good news for Tel Aviv, and pointed to Ortagus’ prominent role in supporting efforts to disarm Hezbollah.
In this regard, Merav Sern, the US envoy for the Iran file, who was an American-Zionist, along with Eric Trager, who was well-versed in West Asian and North African issues, recently stepped down from the US National Security Council. These two individuals were considered the most important supporters of the Zionist regime within the US government.
The Israeli Channel 14 TV pointed out that Sern and Trager were appointed during the tenure of former US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, but they were dismissed by Waltz’s successor, Marco Rubio.
The network continued that the dismissals were not due to personal positions but were in line with US President Donald Trump’s approach to restructuring the National Security Council.
The Israeli regime’s Channel 14 television reported that the departure of pro-Tel Aviv figures from the White House is not welcome for Zionist officials, because in the light of these changes, the regime’s policies on sensitive issues such as Lebanon and Iran are overshadowed.
