Pakistan News Network; “Mohammed Abdulsalam”, the spokesman of Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement, said that the US attacks on the positions of the Yemeni army are unjustified and the response of the Yemeni army to these attacks will continue.
The spokesman of Ansarullah, who (Friday), conveyed this warning in an interview with “Reuters” news agency, emphasized once again that the Yemeni army targets only Israeli ships and ships whose destination is occupied Palestine, and this is Yemen’s natural right in its territorial waters.
Following the escalation of the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the Yemeni army has not allowed all Israeli ships and ships destined for occupied Palestine to pass through the Bab al-Mandab strait and the Red Sea.
Mohammad Abdus Salam said that the American intervention in the operations of the Yemeni army has escalated the tension in the region and that the American attacks are exaggerated and unjustified.
America is the guardian of Israel
Following the continuous operations of the Yemeni army against Israeli ships in the Red Sea, the United States announced the formation of a military coalition to counter these operations, and a few days after the formation of this coalition, it attacked positions in Yemen with the help of Britain. After this attack, the Yemeni army responded by attacking American ships.
Abdus Salam continued to consider the US’s stance towards the attacks of the Yemeni army as “protecting Israel and not the world” and said: “Attacks on Yemen are a clear violation of sovereignty and a dangerous aggression against the Yemeni nation.” What the Yemeni people did at the beginning was to attack Israeli ships and ships that were going to Israel without causing many casualties and financial losses. Only the passage of ships was prevented as a natural right of Yemen in territorial and international waters.

Iran has no control over Yemen’s decisions
In another part of this conversation, in response to Reuters’ question about cooperation between Iran and Yemen, he said that the Yemeni army uses Iran’s experiences in the military field; But Iran has no control over Yemen’s decisions.
The spokesman of Ansarullah said: “We do not deny that we have relations with Iran and we have used Iran’s experiences in the construction and military infrastructures of sea, air and… But the decision that Yemen made was an independent decision that had nothing to do with any other party. This decision was taken after a lot of public pressure – not only in Yemen but also from the people of the region; The people who asked the governments of the region and their leaders to take a stand against the mass killing of the Palestinian people.
Abdul Salam also answered another question about whether Iran has asked the Yemenis to stop the attacks or not: “Until now, nothing has been communicated to us from the Iranians… I think they will not make such a request from us, especially since Iran’s declared position is to support the Yemeni people. This country has condemned the American and British attacks on Yemen. Iran announced the position of Yemen in an honorable and responsible manner.”
Yemen does not seek to escalate tensions in the region
Abdulsalam once again emphasized that Yemen is not looking for the escalation of tension in the region. He said about this: “We don’t want tensions to develop… We established new rules of engagement, during which neither a drop of blood was shed nor a lot of financial damage. The only pressure was on Israel and not on any country anywhere in the world.
At the same time, the spokesman of Ansarullah emphasized that the Yemeni army will respond to the attacks and the position of this country will be firm towards the Israeli ships. He also praised the position of some countries that wanted stability in the region and condemned the creation of tension, and declared that Yemen also supports the non-expansion of the scope of the war.
He said in this regard: “We believe that as long as Saudi Arabia and the UAE rely on this principle, they will be out of the war, and as long as they do not partner with the United States in attacks or support these attacks, we also have no justification to act against them.”
The American base in Bahrain is in the crosshairs of the Yemeni army
Ansarullah’s spokesman also pointed to Bahrain’s participation in American operations and said: “We don’t think that Bahrain as a system or member of the coalition has much of a role in it… If an answer is given, it will be only these American bases in Bahrain that will be targeted”.
In the end, he discussed the ceasefire between Yemen and Saudi Arabia and said that this plan is still ongoing and Yemen has a positive relationship with the Saudi authorities. He also added that the ceasefire between Yemen and Saudi Arabia is permanent and continuous and the Yemenis will continue their efforts in this regard.
