Anti-American demonstrations in Pyongyang coincide with the anniversary of the Korean War.
On the 74th anniversary of the start of the 1950 Korean War, more than 100,000 people held a large anti-American rally in North Korea.
Japan’s state broadcaster NHK reported on Wednesday that North Koreans chanted anti-American slogans at the Central Stadium of the country’s capital on the anniversary of the Korean War.
North Korean citizens have expressed their determination to strengthen Pyongyang’s nuclear capabilities.
The North Korean Workers’ Party-affiliated Rodong Sinmun newspaper reported on Wednesday that more than 100,000 people, including workers and students, took part in the rally at a stadium in Pyongyang.
Participants carried placards that read, “Destroy the American aggressors who are the sworn enemies of the Korean people.”
The participants in this gathering blamed America for this war and also emphasized that if North Korea had more power, such a deep-rooted enmity would not have arisen and “our motherland would not have been stained with the blood of innocents.”
It is worth mentioning that Washington’s support for Seoul has led to the intensification of tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
The Korean War began on June 25, 1950; When tanks led by North Korea attacked South Korea. The United States and 20 other allied nations fought alongside South Korea under the banner of the United Nations.
