What does the anti-Iran resolution of Europe and the United States include?

This resolution does not refer the Iranian case to the Security Council, but it does request the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency:

  2. Iran shall submit a new report containing any further developments on the issues raised in the resolution and shall inform the Agency of the current locations of contaminated nuclear material and equipment.

Iran’s response to the Board of Governors’ resolution: Enrichment will begin at the new center

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Atomic Energy Organization of our country announced in a statement that they condemned the action of the United States and three European countries in approving the resolution in the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and considered this action to be another use of the Council as a tool that is based on political goals and without technical and legal foundations.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has always adhered to its safeguards obligations, and so far, none of the Agency’s reports have mentioned Iran’s failure to adhere to its obligations or any deviation in Iran’s nuclear materials and activities.

The Agency’s politicization under pressure from the US and the Zionist regime

The fact is that the IAEA’s anti-Iranian resolution was issued while the agency had previously and on various occasions repeatedly emphasized the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. The Islamic Republic of Iran has also repeatedly stated that it has always cooperated with the IAEA in good faith.

However, despite the Islamic Republic of Iran’s extralegal cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, the organization, under pressure from the United States, Western countries, and the Zionist regime, issued a resolution against Tehran.

Despite the Agency’s acknowledgement of the implementation of safeguards by the Islamic Republic of Iran, previous accusations have been made against our country again, citing distorted and dubious documents. Despite the Agency’s unofficial acceptance of the possibility of tampering with these documents, it has mentioned these matters in its report, and the principle of impartiality has not been observed in presenting this report.
