Anti-Iranian Resolution Passed in IAEA”
In a report, the Reuters TV channel announced the approval of the anti-Iranian resolution in the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In part of the anti-Iranian statement of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, regardless of the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the 2015 nuclear agreement along with the violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231 and the continued inaction of the European Troika on Tehran’s side in this agreement, it is stated with a ridiculous claim: Iran has violated its obligations in the field of nuclear non-proliferation treaty safeguards!
According to Reuters, the request to increase Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, as well as the issue of the inspectors of this institution, is one of the main axes of the resolution proposed by the European Troika in the Council of Governors.
The resolution proposed by the 3 countries of England, France and Germany (European Troika) against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program has been approved with 20 votes in favor, 2 votes against and 12 abstentions.
England, France and Germany, in a statement without referring to the non-fulfillment of their mutual obligations in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2231 towards Tehran, announced to the Council of Governors about their proposed resolution: The need for the Council of Governors to hold Iran accountable for its legal obligations has long been That exists. Iran must immediately, fully and unambiguously cooperate with the Agency!
In another part of this resolution, it is added: The Board of Governors asks Tehran to abandon its decision to cancel the appointment of several experienced inspectors of the Agency, who are needed for the effective conduct of verification activities (Iran’s peaceful nuclear program).
Yesterday, Tuesday, June 4, the European Troika officially submitted the draft text of this resolution to the Council of Governors.
