Arab League: Washington and Tel Aviv secretly agreed on nuclear weapons.
In an interview with Sadi Al-Balad TV, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said: The United States has signed a secret agreement with Israel that will keep the Zionist regime’s nuclear capabilities secret.
He emphasized: According to this agreement, the United States has told Israel that you must promise that you will never talk about your nuclear power even after a thousand years, and we will also remain silent.
Aboul Gheit added: The United States is lying to us. I participated in negotiations with American officials in Cairo and Washington. They were encouraging Egypt to ratify the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and announced that they would pressure Israel to sign and ratify this treaty, but Egypt refused to ratify it.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League also attributed the failure to open the Israeli nuclear weapons file to the absolute support of the United States, saying: Israel is protected by the military-political pole that has dominated the world for 30 years since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990.
The former Egyptian foreign minister stressed: “We did not sign the Chemical and Biological Weapons Convention and we did not ratify the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, but we do not need nuclear weapons in principle and we should not even think about nuclear deterrence, because its disadvantages are much greater.”
He continued: “The Egyptian Foreign Ministry has worked hard for decades to ensure that the Middle East is free of nuclear weapons. If Iran succeeds in achieving military nuclear capability through deceitful actions and evasion, the scenario of Israel surrendering to nuclear inspections is “very likely.”
Abu al-Gheit noted: “Other regional powers, such as Arab countries and Turkey, will then feel an existential threat, and their pressure will ultimately force the United States to reconsider its position and turn to Israel to resolve these issues, especially since Israel itself was not able to use its nuclear weapons in the 1973 war.”
Israel refuses to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which has been ratified by 191 countries, according to IRNA.
Israeli leaders adhere to what is known as the “Begin Doctrine,” a reference to the leftist Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, who invaded Lebanon in 1982, killing thousands. The doctrine is based on the idea that while Israel grants itself the right to possess nuclear weapons, its enemies in the Middle East should not. The direction and direction of Israel’s actions to this day has been targeted based on this belief.
US support for Israel is not limited to ensuring that Israel enjoys military superiority over its neighbors in terms of conventional weapons, but also ensures that Israel remains the region’s sole superpower, even if this means escaping international accountability for developing weapons of mass destruction.
