PNN – The president of the Arab Parliament described the Israeli regime’s raid on the UNRWA headquarters in occupied Jerusalem as “a heinous crime” and a direct attack on the United Nations and its international legitimacy.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Safa News Agency, following the raid by Israeli occupation forces on the headquarters of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, the president of the Arab Parliament reacted to the incident.
Mohammed Al-Yamahi, president of the Arab Parliament, on Tuesday described this raid as “a heinous crime” and “a direct attack on the United Nations and its international legitimacy.”

In a statement, Al-Yamahi stressed that this assault is a clear violation of all international laws and treaties and reflects the absence of any deterrent capable of restraining the behavior of the occupiers or compelling them to respect the international community.
He added that this action is part of an organized campaign aimed at drying up UNRWA’s resources and weakening its humanitarian role in serving millions of Palestinian refugees, and that it represents an effort to terminate the agency’s activities and deprive the Palestinian people of their fundamental rights.
Emphasizing that the attack on the headquarters of a UN-affiliated organization constitutes a full-fledged international crime, Al-Yamahi called on the United Nations and the international community to act immediately to stop “the unchecked aggression of the occupiers,” which he said poses a threat to the foundations of the international system.
He also called for the adoption of international deterrent measures to ensure the protection of the premises of international organizations and their staff, holding the occupying regime fully responsible for this escalation and its consequences for regional stability and international security.
