Araqchi holds consultations with Pakistani counterpart in Karehbagh.

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, who traveled to the Republic of Azerbaijan with the President to participate in the 17th Summit of the Heads of State of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), met and consulted with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, on the sidelines of the summit today, Friday.

President Masoud Pezhikian arrived in Khankendi, the venue of the summit, this morning at the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan, to participate in and deliver a speech at the 17th Summit of the Heads of State of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a regional organization established with the aim of promoting economic, scientific and cultural cooperation among its member countries.

This organization was initially formed under the name “Regional Cooperation for Development” (RCD) by the three countries of Iran, Turkey and Pakistan in 1962 and later changed its name to “Economic Cooperation Organization” in 1967.
