Trump went on to praise the quick response of first responders, calling their efforts “unbelievable,” and assured the public that details would be released as more information became available.

Trump also wrote on the Truth Social social network in response to this incident: This accident should have been prevented.

He added: The plane was on its normal route to the airport, but the helicopter was moving directly towards the plane for a long time.

The President of the United States added: The night sky was clear and the lights of the plane were flashing, why didn’t the helicopter go up and down or rotate?

He wrote: Why didn’t the watchtower tell him what to do instead of asking the helicopter pilot if he saw the plane? This is a bad situation that should have been avoided.
