Al-Khaitan stressed that the attack raised serious concerns about possible and gross violations of international law, especially attacks on religious sites and residential areas. He stressed the need for full compliance with international humanitarian law, noting that the deliberate targeting of civilians and residential areas constitutes a war crime.
