Atwan: Gaza’s rulers are its defenders.
Abdul Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the trans-regional newspaper Rai al-Youm and a prominent analyst of the Arab world, dedicated the new editorial of this electronic newspaper to the recent movements of the Palestinian Authority and the plan of the Zionists and their allies to dominate the Gaza Strip and eliminate the resistance from there, and wrote: From time to time, we hear news from the United States, the Zionist regime, and some Arab countries that reveal the names of the future rulers of the Gaza Strip, most of whom are businessmen who have no connection with the resistance, the government, or even the Gaza Strip itself.
The rulers of Gaza will be those who defend it
Abdul Bari Atwan, referring to a report in Hebrew media that over the past few months the PA has secretly advanced the process of appointing a new ruler of Gaza, a person named “Samir Halila”, a famous Palestinian businessman, who will govern the Gaza Strip with the help and supervision of the Arab League, said: “They (America, Israel, the PA and the Arab countries) are behaving as if the people of Gaza, who number more than two and a half million and have resisted the enemy for more than 22 months, are children and ignorant, and none of them has the authority to govern Gaza.”
