Atwan: The Arabs have displayed their utmost cowardice’
Abdel Bari Atwan, a prominent Palestinian analyst and editor of the trans-regional newspaper Rai al-Youm, dedicated the newspaper’s new editorial to developments in Syria, writing: Israel is no longer seeking normalization with Arab countries through negotiations; rather, it is imposing normalization on Arab regimes with the clear green light of America and the force of arms.
Israel sees the Arabs as flocks of sheep that must be sacrificed
Abdel Bari Atwan added: Israel bombed the presidential palace in the heart of Damascus and the Syrian army headquarters in Umayyad Square, and after most of them were destroyed, the Syrian tanks were forced to retreat from the city of Sweida. Also, before that, Israeli warplanes had carried out heavy attacks on the provinces of Baalbek and Hermel in eastern Lebanon; without receiving any response.
He clarified: Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the occupation regime, issued a statement on Thursday and said with arrogance and arrogance, “The recent ceasefire in Syria was achieved by force and after the bombing of military and government targets in the heart of Damascus and other parts of Syria, not through a request or plea.” The Likud party also issued another statement that shows the height of the Zionist regime’s arrogance, where the party threatened, “If anyone kidnaps an Israeli, we will kill him and destroy his city and village.”
The article continues: At first glance, it can be said without a doubt that Netanyahu treats the Arab rulers and their peoples as if they were a flock of sheep destined for slaughter and must be skinned. The current silence and submission that we see today in all Arab capitals, except for Gaza and Yemen, is the most obvious evidence of this.
