Atwan: The battle for Aleppo is between the main partners in overthrowing the former Syrian regime.
Abdul Bari Atwan wrote in a note: Armed clashes in Aleppo left four dead and twenty wounded, and now a temporary calm has been established in this area, because the real conflict between the SDF forces and the Syrian army forces is not new, but the main conflict is between the main partners in overthrowing the Syrian regime, namely the United States and Turkey.
He continued: It is noteworthy that these clashes, which according to the official statements of the Syrian government were started by the SDF forces, coincided with the arrival of a high-ranking Turkish delegation; a delegation that included three senior officials: Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, former Turkish Intelligence Chief and possible successor to Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the leadership of the Justice and Development Party, Yaşar Güler and Minister of Defense, and Ibrahim Kalin, Intelligence Chief.
Atwan clarified: The important question is why Washington gave the green light to a Kurdish ally to launch attacks on Syrian forces in Aleppo and disrupt the situation and put the interim Syrian president, who came to power in Damascus with the support of Turkish and American tanks, in a difficult situation. Without the green light of the US government as their biggest supporter, the SDF forces cannot challenge the agreement of March 10th (20th Esfand last year) between the “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) and the country’s interim transitional government.
The analyst continued his article by referring to the destructive role of the Zionist regime in Syria and stated: Israel plays the main destructive role in Syria. It has secret relations with the Kurds in the north and deceived the Turkish regime, and pushed Ankara towards a conspiracy to change the Syrian regime.
He noted that Israel also used the Trump administration as a tool for a pre-planned plan by international Zionism to weaken the axis of resistance and collapse Syria as one of its most prominent arms.
Atwan continued by referring to the consequences of Syrian instability on Turkey and stated: Instability in Syria will affect Turkey and will spread to its depths sooner or later. Perhaps the news that has been published in recent days about a new political and military alliance that includes Israel, Greece, and Cyprus is the first sign of this.
The famous analyst of the Arab world wrote: What is this new Syria, where Israeli forces control the entire south, and its fighter jets roam over Damascus daily, and the US-backed Kurds dominate its northeastern oil and gas resources, and we should not ignore the Turkish occupation in the northwest? These developments within a year and a few weeks of the change of the previous regime and its overthrow are a lesson for all Arab leaders who are on the US front and participate in its plans to change the region by provoking Israel.
He added in conclusion: It seems that the current situation in Syria will not continue, or rather, its chances are limited, because changes are coming in the Arab and Islamic world.
