Atwan: “The ‘Perseverance Caravan’ is a disgrace to the occupiers.
According to Rai Al-Youm, Atwan, referring to the “Sustainability Caravan” sent from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, considered it an Arab-Islamic national initiative and wrote: “This represents a popular movement to break the wall of silence and shame the crimes of the occupiers and deliver a clear message at the right time to the besieged residents of Gaza.”
He added: “The Sustainability Caravan carries the message to the residents of Gaza that “you are not alone, and if most Arab governments and armies have ignored you, we will not give up on you and we are with you.”
The Arab world analyst continued: “More than two thousand activists, from leaders of popular and civil movements to members of parliament and current and former diplomats, academic figures, businessmen and all Algerian, Tunisian and Libyan groups, are in this caravan.” Meanwhile, the dinner and lunch tables spread by honorable people along the route of this convoy and the slogans of support for Palestine by the youth holding the Palestinian flag have profound meanings.
He stated: This is an unprecedented popular and revolutionary initiative that demonstrates the solidarity of the Arab world and their special concern for Palestine as the first position. Certainly, thousands of honorable Arab and Muslim citizens will join this convoy on the route to the Gaza border from Egypt, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea and other countries to show their full solidarity. The genocide will not be limited to Gaza, but will encompass the Arab and Islamic world. Isn’t this what Netanyahu has been hinting at with the support of the United States?
The editor of Rai al-Youm added: We hope that the Egyptian authorities will have a positive and supportive view of this convoy and facilitate its mission to reach the final stop at the Gaza border. This convoy is a follow-up to the action of the Madeleine ship activists a few days ago and is a spark that will ignite the Arab and Islamic people’s anger and revolution to stop the bloody massacre of Israel.
Atwan praised this movement of the Stability Caravan, calling it a bright spot in the darkness of these days in the Arab world, and said: This will be the beginning of awakening and reforming the stinking situation in the Arab world. We say to the Arab regimes, you did not send your army to help the steadfast hungry people of Gaza, so let these honorable people wash away your shame and your alignment with the massacre of the people of Gaza.
According to IRNA, last week, a ship carrying 12 peace-loving volunteers and human rights activists from various European and international nationalities set off for the region with the aim of breaking the comprehensive siege of Gaza. Among these people were prominent figures such as Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, Irish actor Liam Cunningham, Palestinian human rights activist and member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan, and several representatives and civil society activists from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, and Turkey. The Madeleine ship was hijacked by the Israeli regime after approaching the occupied territories.
