PNN – The Axios website, citing unnamed sources, reported that the United States and Iran will hold a decisive round of talks in Geneva on Tuesday.
Informed sources told the American news website Axios that the American team in these negotiations will include Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner and White House envoy Steve Whittkoff.
Previously, the British news agency Reuters, citing an informed source, announced that an American delegation including Whitaker and Kushner will meet with Iranian officials in Geneva on Tuesday of this week.
According to Rai Al-Youm, a US official told Axios that Steve Whittkoff spoke with Oman’s foreign minister earlier this week and gave him several messages related to the nuclear talks to give to the Iranians.
According to this American news website, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi is scheduled to head the Iranian delegation.
Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaid, who is mediating between the two sides, is also expected to attend the meeting.
According to the report, the Omani Foreign Minister prepared a document based on his contact with Whittkoff and presented it to Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, who traveled to Muscat last Tuesday.
