PNN – Israel is likely to reject the proposal of the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, for a ceasefire, Axios reported.
According to Pakistan News Network, an Israeli official told Axios that the war cabinet of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will probably reject Hamas’ proposal for a ceasefire.
The Israeli official said Tel Aviv would hand its opposition to Qatari and Egyptian mediators to pressure Hamas to agree to a more reasonable framework.
Hamas has proposed a 3-stage plan for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which includes a ceasefire, exchange of prisoners and bodies, reconstruction of Gaza and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.

Reports indicate that each of the steps will be implemented in 45 days. Hamas has suggested that in the first stage, indirect negotiations with Israel regarding the cessation of military operations. In the second 45 days, the Israeli forces will completely withdraw from Gaza, and in the third stage, the bodies and remains of the dead will be exchanged between the two sides.
Al-Aqsa Network reported, quoting an official source in Hamas that after detailed consultations, the resistance leaders presented their amendments to the Paris ceasefire proposal to the mediators with a detailed timetable, which includes the ceasefire, the reconstruction of Gaza, the return of the displaced, the provision of immediate shelter for them, the evacuation of the wounded and the lifting of the imposed blockade. The mediators also dealt with this proposal “positively and with understanding”.
