Axios: Trump-Bin Salman meeting turned tense.

The Axios report states: Trump raised the issue of normalizing relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv during this meeting and strongly pressured Bin Salman, but the Saudi Crown Prince opposed this request, explaining that public opinion in his country is strongly anti-Israel after the Gaza war and that Saudi society is not ready for such a move in the current circumstances.

According to the report, although the atmosphere of the meeting remained respectful and formal, Trump was disappointed and nervous about Bin Salman’s opposition.

The Axios report adds: During his meeting with the US President, the Saudi Crown Prince also emphasized that any agreement to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel (regime) would be conditional on Tel Aviv accepting an irreversible, credible, and time-bound path for the formation of a Palestinian state.

According to IRNA, Donald Trump met and talked with Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday (November 18) local time.

During this meeting, the Saudi Crown Prince said about the reconciliation agreement between Arab and Islamic countries with the Zionist regime, known as the Abraham Accords: “We want to be part of the Abraham Accords, but we want to achieve a two-state solution (the formation of an independent Palestinian state).
