Baghdad Al-Youm: Ain al-Assad is out of alert status

PNN – The Baghdad Al-Youm news outlet, citing an informed source, revealed that the Ain al-Asad Air Base in Iraq was suddenly put on maximum alert.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this informed source said in an interview with the Baghdad Al-Youm news site that the Ain al-Asad base in the west of Anbar province of Iraq, where American forces armed with heavy weapons and fighters are present in important parts of it, has suddenly and without prior notice been removed from the state of maximum alert.

This informed source added that the situation is very normal and the reason for this action is not yet clear, but maybe it is a plan or instruction from Washington that the danger has disappeared.

He clarified that canceling the state of maximum alert in the shadow of tensions in the region raises many questions, including whether this base has received the green light that it will not be on the list of targets or whether this decision is temporary.

Also, in the last two weeks, some informed sources reported that the Ain al-Asad and Al-Harir bases in Iraq were on maximum alert to deal with any emergency.

According to the observers, American soldiers in Iraq always anticipate attacks by Islamic resistance groups on their positions.
