PNN – Iraq’s national security adviser announced the agreement between Baghdad and Washington on the end of the international coalition mission in September 2026.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Iraq’s National Security Adviser Qasim al-Aarji announced in an interview with the Saudi Al-Hadath channel: Iraq has agreed with Washington on the end of the international coalition mission in September 2026.
He said that America has not informed Iraq about the withdrawal of its forces from northeastern Syria.
Al-Aarji further emphasized: Iraq can prevent any side that intends to use Iraqi soil to attack neighboring countries.
In this conversation, the Iraqi national security advisor also stated that any view that Iraq is dependent on Iran is wrong and incorrect.
He continued: All active parties in Iraq had a lot of interaction regarding the monopoly of weapons in the hands of the government, and the country of Iraq has passed the crisis and now there is no threat to it.
The United States has about 2,500 soldiers in Iraq, who, according to the officials of the two countries, are mostly active in the training and advisory sector.
Following the martyrdom of Haj Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis near Baghdad airport by the US government, the Iraqi parliament approved the law to withdraw US military forces and the international coalition from Iraq. With the approval of this law, the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq has become a public demand of the people of this country.
In this law, the Iraqi parliament has also called for a ban on the use of Iraqi airspace by foreign forces for any reason.
