Bahrain and Pakistan on the path to military cooperation.
According to Al Khaleej Online, the Bahraini Ministry of Defense announced in a statement that a military cooperation meeting with Pakistan would be held in Manama.
The statement said: The 21st meeting of the Bahraini-Pakistani Joint Military Cooperation Committee was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Bahraini Defense Force Commander.
According to the statement, the meeting was held in the presence of Ali bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chief of the General Staff of the Bahraini Manpower and Tabassum Habib, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Pakistani Armed Forces, and the parties discussed some issues, and the aim of strengthening military cooperation and coordination between the two countries was stated.
This is while the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahraini Defense Force had previously welcomed the head of the Pakistani delegation and emphasized the strengthening of bilateral relations and the growing trend of defense and military cooperation between Bahrain and Pakistan.
This military cooperation meeting between Bahrain and Pakistan was held a few days after Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a joint strategic defense agreement.
According to IRNA, news sources previously reported that the Saudi Crown Prince and the Pakistani Prime Minister have signed a joint strategic defense agreement.
A joint statement issued at the end of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit to Riyadh stated that the agreement was signed based on eight decades of historical partnership and friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
According to the statement, the agreement was signed within the framework of strengthening the security of the two countries and establishing security and peace in the region and the world, and with the aim of expanding the dimensions of defense cooperation between the two sides and strengthening joint deterrence against enemies.
In the agreement, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan emphasized that an attack on either of them is an attack on both countries.
