According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Germany’s “NTV”, In Berlin’s Neukölln district, where many immigrants live, several business owners followed a strike call and closed their shops to protest the criminal actions of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip. About 80 percent of the shops remained closed on the normally busy Sonnenallee shopping street in Berlin due to the strikes, according to police. Earlier, “groups of people” had posted posters on the street asking business owners to close their shops. keep themselves closed as a sign of protest.

In this area there are many shops, workshops and restaurants that are run by people from the Arab world. This street has the Arabic nickname “Sharj al-Arab” – “Street of the Arabs”. Many Palestinians live and work in and around these streets. In the past few days, there have been frequent anti-Israeli demonstrations in Berlin as well as in this region, some of which have been accompanied by riots.

One of the owners of these shops told the Bild newspaper about this: “Everyone is on strike, that’s why we are closed, this is a community, you can’t go out of line, if you don’t participate, someone else will come the next day and says, “Why didn’t you join?”

The call for a “general strike” was published as an advertisement in many shops on Friday. In this call, the organizers asked to close shops, not to go to work, school or university and to wear the symbol of Palestine.

In several marches, anti-Israel slogans were chanted from time to time. “Graffiti with pro-Palestinian content” was also found on several buildings in the city. The Berlin police were supported by forces from the states of Brandenburg and Saxony as well as the federal police.

In line with advancing its biased policies against the Zionist regime in the Middle East conflicts, Germany continues to intensify the pressure on the supporters of the Palestinian groups and the Hamas resistance movement in this country.

The German interior minister also supported banning more pro-Palestinian gatherings to prevent what he believed to be propaganda and violence.

Recently, he also supported the plan to expel the supporters of the Palestinian resistance of Hamas.

After the major Palestinian resistance attack by Hamas on Israel, frequent pro-Palestinian demonstrations are held in Berlin and other German cities, including Frankfurt and Nuremberg. However, police canceled a Palestinian demonstration planned for Saturday in Berlin. Berlin police said any alternative events to this are also banned until October 30.
