PNN – The German chancellor claimed: We are engaged in intensive negotiations to swiftly reach an agreement on the use of frozen Russian assets.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said today, Wednesday, that only Kyiv will decide on the form of any regional agreement it accepts. Ukraine needs strong security guarantees from the United States and NATO.

The German chancellor continued: Any agreement concerning Europeans requires their approval, and Europe’s security must be preserved; we are the ones who decide on this matter. Pressure on Russia must be increased to bring it to the negotiating table.
Friedrich Merz added that frozen Russian assets in Europe have become the largest bargaining tool. We are holding intensive negotiations to quickly reach an agreement on the use of frozen Russian assets.
