Biden claims to have discussed peace in Gaza at the Group of 7 meeting’

According to Al Jazeera, the meeting of the leaders of the Group of Seven, including seven industrialized countries with the same positions as the United States, is currently being held in Italy, which has been overshadowed by the two wars in Gaza and Ukraine.

Accordingly, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, claimed today after the end of the first day of the Group of Seven summit meeting with reporters that we discussed the establishment of peace in the Gaza Strip in today’s meeting. I have not lost hope in this regard.

He continued without referring to the brutality of the Zionist regime in killing Palestinian civilians and the regime’s lack of adherence to international laws, and added: I believe that it is the Hamas movement that should make moves in the field of peace.

However, Hamas has officially announced that it has expressed a positive message about this peace plan, and it is the Zionist side that has started throwing stones at the negotiation process with the aim of continuing the war.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken claims that some provisions that Hamas added to Biden’s initial peace plan actually made it difficult to reach an agreement.

Hamas insists that the cease-fire agreement should be permanent and the Zionist military should leave the Gaza Strip. An issue that the Zionist authorities are against and want to continue the war after the release of their prisoners.

The 3-day meeting of the Group of Seven will continue until Saturday in Italy. America, Canada, Germany, England, France, Italy, and Japan are seven member countries of this group. Russia used to be a member of this group but was expelled from this group in 2022 due to the war in Ukraine.
