PNN – US President Joe Biden said that he expects both the Democratic and Republican parties in Congress to oppose President-elect Donald Trump’s stance on cutting off aid to Ukraine.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Associated Press news agency wrote: On Friday, while announcing new sanctions against Russia’s energy sector, Biden held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about his administration’s continued support for efforts to (so-called) isolate Moscow.
Biden also emphasized the necessity of continuing the US government’s support for Ukraine.
After this phone call, Biden told reporters: I know that a significant number of Democrats and Republicans in Congress believe that the United States should continue to support Ukraine.

Biden said: I hope and expect that if Trump decides to cut off aid to Ukraine, they will oppose it.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan also warned on Friday that the withdrawal of support for Ukraine will have consequences outside of Kiev.
He pointed out that in the last four years; America has relied on cooperation with its European allies in devising a strategy to deal with the growing economic competition imposed by China.
In an interview with a small group of reporters at the White House, Sullivan added: I think that if America stops supporting Ukraine, it will affect the health of our European alliances and have consequences in the Indo-Pacific region.
On Friday, the Biden administration announced the expansion of sanctions against Russia’s energy sector and unveiled new efforts by this administration to put more pressure on Moscow due to the war in Ukraine at the same time as Trump’s return to the White House. Trump has promised to quickly end the conflict in Ukraine.
