Biden: Trump is seeking revenge

PNN – In a speech on the anniversary of the attack on January 6, US President Joe Biden said: Trump is seeking revenge and retribution.

According to the International group of Pakistan News Network, US President Joe Biden, on the third anniversary of the January 6 attack on Congress by Trump supporters, and in his first speech of the new year with a strong attack on his main rival in the 2024 election, said: Trump is seeking revenge against his political opponents, and the future of American democracy is at the center of his re-election bid.

In this speech, he stated that Trump caused the January 6 riot and the attack on the Congress building, and he intends to take revenge on those who seek to punish him.

Trump told the crowd to fight like hell, Biden said. And suddenly all hell broke loose. Then, as always, he left the dirty work to others and retreated to the White House.

In this speech, the President of the United States called Trump and his supporters dangerous people and asked the Democrats, independent supporters, and famous and reputable Republicans to respect American democracy to support him.

He added: Democracy is on the ballot papers. Your freedom is on the ballot.

Biden expressed that Trump’s re-election bid is based on trying to take revenge and retaliate against his political enemies. He reminded the American people that Trump called his opponents vermin, the same term used by Nazi Germany.

In addition, he criticized Republicans for changing their tone about Trump, saying: When the January 6 attack on the Capitol took place, there was no doubt about this fact, and some Republicans in Congress publicly and privately condemned the attack.

He added: But now time has passed and politics, fear and money have come into action. We all know the truth about Trump and we know that on January 6th our truth and democracy was ignored.

This is despite the fact that before Biden’s speech, the Trump campaign released a promotional video, calling the American president the real destroyer of the country’s democracy.

Currently, Donald Trump, the leading candidate of the Republicans, is facing numerous criminal charges: Trying to overturn the results of the 2020 election and his supporters storming the Capitol in January 2021, keeping classified documents in his personal Florida villa after leaving the White House, paying an unethical movie actor hush money, and trying to change the election results. He is also involved in fraud and financial charges. In addition, the former US president is facing a case of paying damages to a writer who accused him of sexual assault. Trump has denied any wrongdoing in these cases and has not been found guilty in any of them so far.

If Trump is re-elected president, he could seek a pardon for any federal charges against him.

The US presidential election will be held in November 2024. Currently, Joe Biden is the leading candidate of the Democrats and Donald Trump is the leading candidate of the Republicans in the polls.
