Biden: Trump supporters are “garbage”!
According to Rashatudi, US President Joe Biden, in support of Kamala Harris, his vice president and the Democratic candidate in the November 5 election, extended the attack on Donald Trump, the former president and the Republican candidate, to his supporters as well!
Biden made these comments in a video call prepared by a group of Hispanic supporters (Spanish speakers living in America) called “Voto Latino”. At the beginning of this call, American comedian Tony Hinchcliffe started the program with a joke and compared Puerto Rico to a “floating garbage island in the middle of the ocean”!
Reacting to this issue, Biden said that “a few days ago, one of the speakers at Trump’s rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage”, adding that the people of Puerto Rico are “good, decent and respectful”.
He added: The only garbage I saw is his (Trump) supporters. His demonization of Latin American people is unconscionable and unlikely of Americans. It goes against everything we’ve done and who we are.
Biden went on to accuse Trump of trying to “racially divide America” and asserted that Harris “will be the president of all America.”
However, the President of the United States of America explained and perhaps justified his statements on the X social network shortly after, saying “I was talking about the hate speech of Trump’s supporter against Puerto Rico at his gathering at Madison Square Garden, and I called him trash.” That was all I said. “The statements made in that gathering do not describe us as a nation and do not represent us.”
Trump’s allies immediately condemned Biden’s comments. Republican Senator Marco Rubio called for an apology from the Biden team, pointing out that “Trump is talking about ordinary Americans who love their country.” He added: We are not trash, but patriots who love America.
