Pelosi, the former speaker of the US House of Representatives, was the first prominent figure of the Democratic Party to question the president’s mental preparation after the Biden-Trump debate and said “We have the right to ask this question; Is this a temporary issue or are we dealing with a disease?
Pelosi’s question and comment caused many Democrats to call for Biden’s resignation. Among them, we can mention Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, who had Biden as his vice president during his presidency!
According to the Washington Times, Obama said in a private meeting that he is worried about the poll results being far from Biden and opening the way for Trump’s electoral victory, as well as the cutoff of financial support. The newspaper claimed that Pelosi, along with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, conveyed Obama’s message and concerns to Biden.
Pelosi denied directing any efforts to force Biden to resign and claimed: “Maybe he thinks his words caused an incident.” I have not spoken to Biden since the day I said this.
Trump called his rival’s withdrawal “a coup d’état by the Democrats against him” and said: “They all threw him away and said, ‘You’ll be fine with your language or we won’t give up.'” This is what happened and he had no choice and there is no doubt about it.
