Bill Clinton spokesman: White House just sacrificed former president.

The Guardian quoted Clinton’s spokesman Angel Ureña as saying in a statement posted on social media: “Bill Clinton ended his relationship with Epstein in 2005.”

Reacting to the release of government documents on the Epstein case, Ureña wrote: “The White House did not keep this case secret for months until it was released on Friday night to defend Bill Clinton. This is to protect themselves from future events or what they are trying to keep secret forever. So they can release as many poor-quality photos from over 20 years ago as they want, but this has nothing to do with Bill Clinton. It never has and never will.”

Referring to the White House chief of staff, Ureña added: “Even Susie Wiles said that Donald Trump was wrong about Bill Clinton.”

Wiles had previously acknowledged that, contrary to Trump’s claims, Clinton was not on “Epstein Island.”

Clinton has long claimed that she severed ties with Epstein before the notorious financier pleaded guilty to child molestation in Florida in 2005.

“There are two groups of people in this case,” Clinton’s spokesman wrote in a statement. “The first group knew nothing of Epstein’s crimes and cut ties with him before such crimes were brought to light. The second group continued their relationship even after Epstein’s crimes were revealed. We are in the first group. No amount of procrastination by the second group will change that. Everyone, especially the Make America Great Again movement, is expected to be accountable, not to look for someone to scapegoat.”

According to reports from White House visitor records, Epstein visited the White House at least 17 times in the early years of Clinton’s presidency. After leaving the White House in 2001, Clinton traveled with Epstein on his private jet to Asia and Africa as part of his “global plan.”

Trump has repeatedly mentioned the relationship between Clinton and Epstein. Last month, he asked the Justice Department and the FBI to investigate “Epstein’s relationship with Bill Clinton.” Trump’s request is part of his long-running effort to portray the Epstein scandal as a Democratic affair.

Trump had previously claimed, in signing a congressional bill to release documents related to the Epstein case, that the notorious financier and sex trafficker was a Democrat, according to IRNA, and accused members of the party of bringing up the case to distract from his administration’s impressive victories.

The Epstein case has spanned two decades. Florida police and the FBI first investigated the influential man in the early 2000s on allegations of sexual abuse. Epstein was charged with child trafficking and other crimes during the first term of the Trump administration in 2019 and died in August in New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center. Officials declared the cause of death to be suicide, but many immediately considered the circumstances of his death suspicious.
