PNN – The Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman has told American officials that his country will continue to rely on its national interests in defense decisions.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, The US President’s outrageous insult to Mohammed bin Salman has cost the Saudis dearly.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on behalf of US President Donald Trump, expressed regret that Saudi officials signed defense agreements with Ukraine without consulting the United States, which is Saudi Arabia’s main ally.
In response, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman noted that the United States had failed to fully protect the kingdom from Iranian attacks, and therefore Saudi Arabia had made a decision that would allow it to quickly strengthen its defense capabilities.
The Saudi crown prince also stated that his country would continue to rely on its national interests in defense decisions.
The media reported that this response was a slap in the face to Trump by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in response to Trump’s rude remarks, saying, “Now let the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia kiss my ass and be polite to me from now on.”
Trump’s rude remarks have reportedly effectively put US-Saudi relations on hold, and have angered bin Salman.
