PNN – US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced during his visit to China that it is important for Washington and Beijing to manage their differences responsibly.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from AFP, Blinken said in a meeting with Communist Party leader Chen Jinying in Shanghai that US President Joe Biden is committed to continuous and direct dialogue between the two countries.
The US foreign minister expressed his opinion: It is important to emphasize the value of direct interaction, dialogue with each other, and the examination of differences that are real, and seek to resolve them.
He continued: We have an obligation towards our people and in fact the world to responsibly manage the relations between the two countries.

The secretary of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai also talked to Blinken about the “importance of American companies” in this city and told him: Whether we choose cooperation or confrontation affects the well-being of both nations, both countries, and the future of humanity.
Blinken is the first US Secretary of State to visit Shanghai in 14 years. He began his trip to China on Wednesday from the economic city.
Meanwhile, Yang Tao, director-general of the Department of North American and Pacific Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, said that his country will focus on five main goals during Blinken’s visit, regarding the perennial conflicts in Beijing-Washington relations and the necessity of managing them.
Establishing correct understanding, strengthening dialogues, effectively managing disputes, promoting mutually beneficial cooperation, and assuming common responsibilities are the five main goals that this Chinese Foreign Ministry official pointed out.
