Blinken: America supports UN staff in Gaza!
According to Al Jazeera, the US Secretary of State claimed that this country supports the preservation of the lives and health of UN staff in Gaza.
The US State Department announced on Friday that Anthony Blinken held talks with the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Gaza about the security challenges that prevent aid from being sent inside Gaza.
According to the statement of the US Department of State, Blinken emphasized the importance of ensuring support for UN humanitarian workers in the Gaza Strip.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres recently announced that 135 of the 188 UN staff killed in Gaza in 2023.
The UN Secretary-General added: “This is the highest number of our personnel killed in a conflict or natural disaster since the founding of the United Nations – a fact we can never accept.”
