Blinken: Bin Salman does not imagine relations with Tel Aviv without the establishment of a Palestinian state

PNN – US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated in an interview with “Foreign Affairs” magazine that “Mohammed bin Salman”, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, is considering establishing diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv without “a clear and credible path” to achieve the establishment of a Palestinian state.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the website of the English section of the Al-Arabiya TV channel quoted Anthony Blinken as saying: It is necessary to establish a ceasefire in Gaza first and then focus on the long-term stability of the region, including the security of Israel.

Expressing his hope that the future Trump administration will make such an agreement, he said: Of course, the key to that is the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

“For that to happen, we need calm in Gaza as well as a credible path to a Palestinian state,” Blinken said. Saudi Arabia insisted on it before October 7, 2023, and now it is more convinced than ever. I have heard Mohammed bin Salman’s opinion about the need for a clear and credible path to reach a (Palestinian) state directly from him.

According to Blinken, bin Salman has said that without such a path, there will be no relations with Tel Aviv.

Referring to the Al-Aqsa storm operation on October 7, 2023, Blinken admitted that the Zionist regime does not want to establish a Palestinian state. He said that the Zionist authorities are not ready to talk about the creation of a Palestinian state.

Blinken spoke about pursuing the so-called “two-state” solution in the Palestinian territory and stated: If we consider the possibility of their coexistence, we will return to the two-state solution and that the Palestinians deserve to determine their own destiny and create a country for themselves.

By ignoring the legitimate right of the Palestinian nation to the entire historical land of Palestine and by dividing it based on the so-called “two-state” solution, Blinken said: Palestinians should know that a state will be created in a certain period of time. Israelis must understand that this will only happen if certain conditions are met that truly guarantee Israel’s security.
