Blinken: We need the formation of an independent Palestinian government

PNN – The US Secretary of State, who is in Saudi Arabia, emphasized the formation of an independent Palestinian government after meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is in Saudi Arabia, said that during his regional trip, he would visit occupied Palestine and talk to Israeli officials about the future of the military attack on Gaza.

He, who also met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, emphasized: “We need the formation of an independent Palestinian government, and the West Bank and Gaza must be united and under the management of the Palestinians.”

The US foreign minister also mentioned the conflicts on the Lebanese border and said: “It is not in the interest of either Israel or Lebanon that the conflicts escalate.”

On the other hand, in the meeting with Blinken, bin Salman emphasized the importance of stopping military operations in Gaza.

He also emphasized the need to intensify more humanitarian efforts in Gaza.

At the same time, a senior American official who is accompanying US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on his regional trip, told NBC News that Blinken, during his trip to Tel Aviv, told Israeli officials about the end of the military attack on Gaza as soon as possible.

The American official added: “Blinken will ask the Israelis to switch to targeted operations to minimize civilian casualties.”
