Blinken: Yesterday in the Red Sea there was a big attack against us with advanced drones.
The US foreign minister said in a speech today that yesterday in the Red Sea, there was a big attack against the country’s targets with high-tech drones.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced on Wednesday evening a large drone attack on the country’s targets in the Red Sea.

He said: “Yesterday, we encountered a major attack in the Red Sea region by drones that had high technology.”

The US Secretary of State claimed that these drones were carried out by the armed forces of Yemen’s Ansarullah and with the help of the facilities provided by Iran to the forces under its control.

Blinken added: “There is no choice but to respond to Houthi threats to Red Sea navigation, and there are severe consequences for Houthi threats to Red Sea navigation.”

The official spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced in a statement today, January 10, that the navy and air force of the army targeted an American ship during a joint military operation.

The spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces emphasized that this ship supported the crimes of the Zionist regime and clarified that this operation was the initial response to the treacherous attack of the American enemy on the navy of our country.

Saree emphasized that Sana’a will not hesitate to deal proportionately with all hostile threats within the framework of the right to legitimately defend our country, people and nation. We will continue to the ports of occupied Palestine.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed in a statement this morning that the Yemeni forces carried out a “complex attack” on the Red Sea with suicide attack drones, cruise missiles, and anti-ship ballistic missiles.

The British Maritime Trade Operations Organization announced in the early hours of the morning that it had received reports of the movement of suspicious projectiles in the waters of the Red Sea near Yemen. British maritime security company “Embry” also said that an oil tanker saw three boats from which two missiles were fired at it.

During the Al-Aqsa storm operation, the Yemeni army announced in support of the Palestinian people that it would not allow any Israeli ships and ships destined for the occupied Palestinian territories to pass through the Bab al-Mandab strait and the Red Sea. America also formed a naval coalition against it, which has been repeatedly attacked by the Sana’a Navy.
