Bolton: Trump only sees his own interests instead of America’s interests

PNN – John Bolton, the national security adviser of former US President Donald Trump’s administration, said while Trump is preparing for the 2024 presidential election campaign, he does not think about national interests and only focuses on his own interests.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Bolton expressed his opinion in a conversation with Al-Arabiya channel: My conclusion after 17 months of serving in the Trump administration was that he is not suitable for the presidency. Part of the reason is that he doesn’t understand how the US federal government works.

He emphasized: He didn’t know much when Trump came and he didn’t know much when he left either.

Bolton believes: He does not think about national interests and only focuses on his own interests. He does not have a political philosophy and does not think in a political framework.

Gallant: We have never seen such a war

The National Security Adviser of the former US government explained about the personality of his former president: It is very difficult to predict what Trump will do after a possible victory. You can look at a lot of what he did in the first round and expect that to continue.

The 2024 US presidential election will be held in November of this year in a situation where the 4-year presidency of “Joe Biden” has faced many events in the field of foreign policy, including the war in Ukraine and the war in Gaza. In domestic politics, issues such as preserving democracy, fighting inflation, and the issue of immigration are considered the most challenging issues.

The most likely competitor for Joe Biden is currently Donald Trump. Although the intra-party stage of the election has not yet been completed, Trump’s performance in the two states where voting was conducted, as well as polls, indicate that he does not have much of a problem being nominated by the Republican Party.

The results of the polls show that Biden and Trump will have a close fight in a possible competition in November. In the latest poll conducted by NPR/PBS, 48% of voters preferred Biden and 47% preferred Trump.
