British Foreign Secretary: Israel’s actions are a clear threat to humanitarian law.
According to Al Jazeera, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy rejected the resumption of the Israeli regime’s rocket attacks on the Gaza Strip and said that Israel’s behavior in Gaza is a clear violation of humanitarian and international law.
He continued that the killing of more than 400 people in Gaza, most of whom are women and children, is very terrible. Gaza has now become the most dangerous place in the world for humanitarian workers.
David Lammy noted that his country calls for an immediate return to the ceasefire and believes that further bloodshed is in no one’s interest.
He also condemned the statements of Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding the evacuation of Gaza from its inhabitants and called for an immediate withdrawal of these statements.
Lammy called for the continuation of the ceasefire negotiations and the extension of the first phase after Ramadan, and continued that destroying the ceasefire in Gaza will not allow the return of prisoners and will not ensure Israel’s security.
Lamy added: “We strongly condemn the violence of Israeli settlers against Palestinians and the expansion of settlements in the occupied territories.”
