According to the European Union foreign policy official, the review of the peace proposal of the President of Ukraine is one of the issues that will be discussed at the meeting in Kiev. He added: “All my colleagues have come here today to show their commitment and that of the European Union in supporting Ukraine and to emphasize the necessity of continuing to support the Kyiv Front.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine also said: This meeting is a historic event because for the first time the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union has convened outside its current borders. He interpreted today’s meeting as the message of the Union in support of Ukraine and appreciated Burrell’s initiative to hold this meeting in Kyiv.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also wrote in a message on the X channel: “I respect those who stubbornly fight for the future of Ukraine – and those who make sacrifices.” He said that “Ukraine will win” and added that the European Union “will not stop trying to liberate Ukraine.”

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the European Union, while fully supporting this country, has imposed 11 sanctions against Russia and those close to the Kremlin.
