Cairo: Israel’s attack on Rafah is a threat to Egypt’s national security

PNN – The Egyptian Foreign Minister said at the Munich security meeting that the Israeli attack on Rafah is a threat to Egypt’s national security.

According to Pakistan News Network, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Saturday at the Munich security meeting that the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza is “unacceptable”.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister further said that the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza is a violation of international and humanitarian laws, and any Israeli military operation in Rafah will be a direct threat to Egypt’s national security.

Sameh Shukri mentioned the two-state solution and said that Egypt wants to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on the two-state solution.

Egypt’s foreign minister claimed that his country has informed the Zionist regime that moving Palestinians from Rafah is Cairo’s “red line” and is considered a threat to Egypt’s national security.

On the other hand, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Kats claimed at the Munich conference that necessary arrangements have been made with Cairo regarding the relocation of Palestinians from Rafah to Egypt.

Contrary to the claim of the American media that the Israeli regime is not serious in its claims of attacking Rafah, the army of this regime has started unprecedented artillery, missile and air attacks on this area and the city of Rafah since last week.

The Palestinian Refugees Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) announced that the population of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, which was 300,000 before the start of the war, has increased to more than 1.2 million after the start of the war.
