Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said a year ago that the country has credible evidence that Indian government agents were involved in the murder of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Najjar six months ago.
Canadian officials have repeatedly said they have shared evidence on the matter with Indian officials. Indian officials have repeatedly denied the documents provided by Canada and called these accusations absurd.
This case has led to cold relations between Ottawa and New Delhi, and the parties have already expelled a number of each other’s diplomats.
