Canada steps up support for Golani amid continuing killings in Syria

Syria

PNN – The Canadian government, in alignment with the United States and without mentioning the crimes of forces under Jolani in Syria, removed the name of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham from its list of terrorist organizations.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Sputnik, Canada announced that it had removed Syria from its list of “state sponsors of terrorism.” The country also deleted the designation of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham as a terrorist organization from its official list.

The Canadian government claimed that this move aims to support the efforts of the self-proclaimed Syrian government to strengthen stability in the country and to build a better and safer future for its residents, following similar actions previously taken by the United States and the United Kingdom.

This comes while Syria has witnessed widespread killings, looting, bloodshed, and internal conflicts since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime, with forces loyal to Jolani, the self-proclaimed president, playing an active role in these events.

Previously, the United States also removed Jolani from its list of designated terrorists in the middle of last month.
