Changes in Trump’s foreign policy team: Waltz’s decline and Rubio’s rise from the margins to the mainstream

Changes in Trump’s foreign policy team: Waltz’s decline and Rubio’s rise from the margins to the mainstream.

But according to political analysts, Marco Rubio has managed to gain the trust of US President Donald Trump with a special skill, to the extent that Trump recently entrusted him with another important responsibility: acting national security adviser and replacing Michael (Mike) Waltz, who was dismissed from his post.

The Politico website says in this regard that some of Trump’s advisers want this appointment to be permanent, and Rubio to be both Secretary of State and National Security Advisor.

The American media writes about this: Rubio’s position in Trump’s eyes has improved when the former senator abandoned many of his past views, loudly defended some of Trump’s most stringent policies, and worked well with those in the president’s inner circle.

Republican Senator Jim Risch of Idaho and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee says about this: “Rubio accepted this responsibility with full knowledge of the circumstances. “When you accept a position like that, you’re no longer free like a senator. When you accept responsibility, you commit to doing what your boss wants you to do, and he really has the power to do it.”
