Chaos in Ashrafieh Sahnaya; Is Golani leading Syria towards sectarian war?

Chaos in Ashrafieh Sahnaya; Is Golani leading Syria towards sectarian war?

After the bloody suppression of Alawite citizens by Salafi-Takfiri terrorists under the command of Golani, the plot and bloodshed of a sect called the Druze have come to an end. While last week, Abu Muhammad Golani tried to present a democratic face in favor of peace with Israel in a meeting with US Republican representatives Corey Mills and Marilyn Statzman, he is now planning to expand his influence by force of arms to the southern regions by launching a suspicious plot.

Contrary to the fabricated image of the fledgling government in Damascus by some Arab and European media, it seems that the “terrorists of yesterday” only changed their clothes but still did not understand the logic of dialogue, tolerance, civil rights, and modern governance. The clashes in Ashrafiya Sahnaya are proof of this claim.

Where did the story begin?

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, forces under the command of Golani claimed that a Druze had insulted the blessed Prophet of Islam by releasing an audio file! Just hours after this claim, a group of “Jolani” forces entered the Ashrafiya Sahnaya area and clashed with local residents. About 9 people were killed and injured during this clash. After the escalation of tension in this area, Sheikh Yousef Jarbu, the Druze religious leader, denied this claim and said that if such a file is true, it is the statements of a few people and not the position of the Syrian Druze community.

On the other hand, Hossam Al-Tahan, a terrorist leader affiliated with the Golani, told the SANA news agency that the security forces had completed their operations in the Sahnaya area and were stationed near Damascus. The Foreign Ministry of the self-proclaimed Golani government, which has become an apparatus for cleansing the face of the fledgling Syrian regime in the international environment, also issued a statement claiming that the new government has an unwavering commitment to protecting all Syrians! In the following statement, Damascus expressed concern about foreign interference, without mentioning the crimes committed against the country’s minorities by Salafi-Takfiri forces.

Netanyahu in the Desire to Conquer

From the first hours of the fall of the former Syrian government, Israeli officials, especially Netanyahu, Sa’ar and Katz, appeared as supporters of Syrian minorities such as the Druze and Kurds. They issued numerous statements claiming that some groups were planning to establish a kind of anti-Israeli government in Damascus by genocide of Syrian minorities! This ridiculous claim was made while most experts believed that the fall of Assad was a joint project between the United States, Israel, Turkey, and Jordan.

Over the past four months, the Zionist regime’s army has entered southern Syria under the pretext of supporting the Druze and targeted the Golan forces with ground and air strikes. Recently, during the latest clashes between the Golan forces and the Druze, the Zionists took 3 Druze civilians to hospitals in occupied Palestine! Netanyahu and Katz also issued a joint statement claiming that they had fired a “warning shot” at the Golan Heights forces that were preparing to attack the Druze. The Times of Israel, citing a military source, claimed that the attack was carried out by a Hermes-450 drone.

The Golan Heights Regime’s Limb

Just minutes after Assad left Syria, Netanyahu released a video announcing that he had withdrawn from the 1974 agreement. The destruction of Syria’s defense capabilities and the occupation of part of the Arab country’s territory by the Zionist regime led the “cardboard hero of Aleppo” to claim in numerous interviews that the new Syria was no longer a source of threat to Israel. He even went further and claimed in an interview with Al Arabiya that Iran and Israel were on the verge of war on the Syrian battlefield, but his action had helped to preserve the security of the Tel Aviv regime!

Now, Golani is sitting on the throne at a time when not only is the risk of southern Syria becoming more fragmented than ever before, but there is also a greater possibility of sectarian war. The reality is that the forces under Golani have practiced “hatred,” “excommunication,” and “war” for years, and they cannot learn how to govern simply by beating the Croats. In such circumstances, a bright future cannot be imagined for the fledgling Syrian terrorist government, and Syria will soon be embroiled in a widespread crisis. If this scenario materializes, Assad’s most ardent critics will have to search in the dark with a lantern to preserve Syria’s independence and territorial integrity.
