According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Gu Jianon emphasized in a press conference that activating the “trigger mechanism” will not help reduce differences, referring to Beijing’s constant support for a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear issue.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said: China has always been committed to resolving the Iranian nuclear issue through political and diplomatic solutions.

He made these remarks in response to a question about the possibility of reimposing UN sanctions on Iran, stressing that Beijing opposes any threat to the use of force, sanctions and pressure.

Referring to the actions of the three European countries of Britain, France, and Germany, known as the “European Troika,” in activating the trigger mechanism against Iran, Giacone added: Activating the snapback mechanism in the UN Security Council is not a constructive move and will not help rebuild trust between the parties and reduce differences. For now, the main priority is to strengthen diplomatic efforts and avoid escalating tensions.

He stressed that China will continue to promote dialogue for peace and play a constructive role in reaching a solution that addresses the legitimate concerns of all parties.
