PNN – China’s foreign minister emphasized in a meeting with his Saudi counterpart that Riyadh is the priority of Beijing’s foreign exchanges.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from the news website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Wang Yi discussed economic, regional and global issues in a meeting with Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, who has traveled to Beijing to participate in the 10th meeting of the China-Arab Summit.
In this meeting, China’s foreign minister emphasized that Saudi Arabia is an important representative of Islamic countries and emerging markets with global influence: Beijing has always made Riyadh a foreign priority.
Wang added: China will continue to support Saudi Arabia in protecting its sovereignty, national security and preventing any foreign interference in Riyadh’s internal affairs.
He pointed out that Beijing is willing to have win-win cooperation with Riyadh in order to strengthen the foundations of bilateral political relations, expand strategic development, cooperation in the fields of energy, investment, new technology, 5G Internet, artificial intelligence, digital economy, aerospace and green technology.
Wang also said about Palestine: The Palestinian issue is the legitimate position of the Arab countries and China.
Stating that Beijing will continue to unite and cooperate with Arab countries, he added: We will always stand on the right side of history, fairness and justice, and the international humanitarian approach.
According to this report, the two sides also believed that holding a peace conference in Ukraine should be based on the recognition of the relevant parties, equal participation of all parties, and a fair discussion of different options.
Referring to the 6-point consensus between China and Brazil to promote the resolution of the Ukraine issue, Wang noted that China will continue the process of peaceful dialogue and play a constructive role in advancing the resolution of the Kiev issue.
Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud also emphasized in this meeting: Saudi Arabia and China have deep friendship, complementary economies and extensive common interests.
Stating that Riyadh’s foreign policy is independent, he added: We consider Beijing a reliable partner and we believe that the expansion of cooperation between the two countries is in the interest of the Saudi government and people.
Faisal bin Farhan pointed out that Saudi Arabia will remain firmly committed to expanding bilateral cooperation with China in various fields and promoting the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership “Saudi Arabia-China”.
Wang Yi also stated in his meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdullah Ali Elahia: China is willing to cooperate with Kuwait to advance the agreements between the heads of the two countries and the project in the Grand Mubarak Port, expand cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, sewage treatment, investment, new energy, digital economy, artificial intelligence, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and promote strategic partnership between Beijing and Kuwait.
In this regard, Abdullah Ali Elahia emphasized that Kuwait values ​​mutual trust and friendship with China and considers Beijing as a long-term and reliable strategic partner in the field of economic, commercial and investment cooperation.
He added: We thank China for maintaining its fair position on the Palestinian issue.
