PNN – China’s ambassador and representative to the United Nations, Fu Kong, warned against any military adventurism in West Asia, in line with US President Donald Trump’s threats of possible military action against Iran.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Al Arabiya, the Chinese ambassador to the United Nations said at the UN Security Council meeting: The use of force cannot solve problems. Any military adventure will only push the region into an abyss of instability and unpredictability.
Hours ago, Trump announced in a message that a “massive fleet” of military personnel was moving toward Iran, moving with “power, speed, passion, and purpose.”
In this message, Trump emphasized that this fleet, led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, is larger than the fleet previously dispatched to Venezuela. He added that, as was done in the case of Venezuela, the fleet is “ready, willing and able” to carry out its mission with “speed and violence” if necessary.
The US president expressed hope that Iran would “come to the negotiating table quickly” and negotiate a “fair and equitable” agreement centered on “not obtaining a nuclear weapon”—an agreement that he claimed would be “in the best interests of all parties.” Trump warned that “time is running out” and that there was urgency.
Trump made these statements while the Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly announced its readiness to negotiate on equal and fair terms.
He also claimed, referring to his previous positions: I told Iran before to make an agreement. They did not do so, and as a result, the so-called “Midnight Hammer” operation took place, which led to the widespread destruction of Iran.
Trump is referring to the military attack by the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran this summer, an attack that took place during ongoing negotiations between Iranian and American representatives, and by carrying it out, Washington damaged the spirit of the negotiations.
