China

PNN – China denied a media claim about transferring missile production equipment or air defense systems to Iran.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Israel Hayom, the Chinese Embassy in Israel denied in a statement an alleged report by Middle East Eye about the transfer of missile production equipment or air defense systems to Iran.

The Beijing embassy also emphasized that China never exports weapons to countries at war.

A part of Beijing’s statement said: The Chinese Embassy declares the contents of this report to be incorrect. China, in accordance with its principles and rules, never exports arms to countries engaged in war and also strictly monitors the export of dual-use products.

The statement reads: As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, China takes a cautious and responsible approach to the export of military-related goods.

China has transferred advanced surface-to-air missile systems, Middle East Eye reported on Monday, in another sign of growing military ties between Tehran and Beijing.
