China’s emphasis on supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Yemen

PNN – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, in a meeting with the member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, emphasized that his country firmly supports the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Yemen.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Global Times, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Shaya Mohsen Zindani, a member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, and discussed the issues of Palestine and the Red Sea.

Stating that Beijing values ​​its long-standing friendship with Sana’a and appreciates its support in important issues for China, Wang added: We firmly emphasize our support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of this country.

He expressed Beijing’s desire to continue helping Yemen as much as possible and to strengthen and develop stable and healthy relations between the two countries.

Pointing out that the tense situation in the Red Sea highlights the importance of the Gaza issue, Wang stated: China’s top priority is to establish an immediate ceasefire to prevent a bigger humanitarian disaster and prevent conflicts from spreading to other areas.

He added: Beijing wants the international community to increase its efforts to implement the traditional plan for a “2-state solution”.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China stated that the tense situation in the Red Sea was caused by the attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip and emphasized that the United Nations Security Council has not allowed any country to use force against Yemen.

He added: We demand the cessation of Yemeni attacks on commercial ships and we ask the relevant parties to avoid increasing tensions in the Red Sea and jointly protect the safety of waterways in the Red Sea in accordance with the law.
