China’s readiness to play a constructive role in Iran-Pakistan relations.
The Consul General of China in Karachi offered his country’s mediation to resolve the issues between Iran and Pakistan.
China’s Consul General in Karachi, Yang Yundong, said on Thursday that Beijing is willing to play a constructive role in resolving the differences between Islamabad and Tehran.
In response to a question about Iran’s recent anti-terrorist missile attack, he said, “Pakistan and Iran are big countries in the region and the Islamic world, so China hopes that the differences between them can be resolved through negotiations and other peaceful methods.”
The Consul General of China in Karachi, Pakistan also asked the two countries to exercise self-restraint by observing the principles and charter of the United Nations and the norms of international relations. He added, “We hope that Pakistan and Iran can talk to solve their problems.”
Earlier, the head of the diplomatic service of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amirabdollahian, in a conversation with his Pakistani counterpart, called the security of Pakistan the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran and said about the recent operation that the anti-terrorist operation of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Tuesday was against the terrorist group known as Jaish al-Adl, which It acts against the joint security of Iran and Pakistan, and none of the Pakistani nationals were attacked in this operation.
Today, following the publication of news about Pakistan’s attack on Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan called Iran a brotherly country and said that it “fully respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
In a statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, this ministry announced: “This morning, Pakistan carried out a series of precise, fully coordinated and targeted military attacks against terrorist hideouts in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchistan province.”
