Chinese media: US seeks to establish communication with China.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the social network “Yuyuan Tantian,” affiliated with the official China Radio and Television Agency, announced that the US government has taken the initiative to conduct some bilateral contacts with China.
The report adds that, contrary to Trump’s claims, it is the US, not China, that should rush to establish communication between the two countries.
According to the Chinese media, the US has been communicating with China through multiple channels for some time now, perhaps to start negotiations on customs tariffs with Beijing.
The report adds that regarding the negotiations, there is no doubt that the US has been the most affected by the pressures, and the US government is currently facing multi-faceted pressures, including economic pressures and public opinion pressure.
According to the Chinese source, in light of the lack of tangible measures from the US side, China sees no reason to enter into negotiations with the US side.
The US President said in a speech last night: “I hope we will reach an agreement with China at some point. We are negotiating with China.” He also claimed: “Their factories are closing all over China because we are not buying their products!”
