According to CCTV TV channel, in a message to the annual awards ceremony of the “National Committee on US-China Relations”, the President of China announced: China is willing to be a partner and friend of the United States. This issue is not only for the benefit of two countries but also for the benefit of the world.

In a meeting with White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in Beijing, the President of China said: Although the conditions of the two countries and the relations between China and the United States have changed a lot, Beijing’s goal in committing to healthy, strong and stable development of relations has not changed.
Sullivan also said: US President Joe Biden is committed to responsibly manage this relationship and ensure that competition does not lead to conflict or confrontation.
China and the United States have been increasingly at loggerheads over a range of issues, dating back to the start of a trade war in 2018, and are now at odds over global security issues, including the Taiwan issue and disputes in the South China Sea.
